1 Year On! | Launching The World's First Reusable Plant Based Bottle

s'wheat reusable water bottle plant based crowdfunder back her business rbs

1 year ago we launched S'wheat on Crowdfunder!

After a long time of research, developing and prototyping we finally created the first reusable water bottle made from waste plant based materials. We decided to launch our product through Crowdfunder.

Launching our campaign was one of the most nerve wracking experiences. We set out with the target of raising £10,000 through pre-sales in order to fund our first production run of the S'wheat bottle.

We were in disbelief of the response we received and within 11 days we had reached our target. We continued our campaign and by the end of the month we had raised over £21,000! We are extremely grateful for all of our very first supporters and early adopters - Thank you to you all.

We are proud of the awards S'wheat has gained in the past year, from Scottish Edge to Princes Trust, we are extremely grateful for their support. S'wheat has also been featured in some awesome places including Channel 4's Buy It Now For Christmas, RBS's Back Her Business Campaign, as well as The Herald and many more news outlets.

Since our launch we have been helping customers and businesses reduce their plastic consumption and waste, by switching to our sustainable and reusable plant based alternatives. Through this we have saved over 675,000 single use plastic cups and bottles from entering landfill and our oceans.

But our mission doesn't stop there, we have recently began growing our very own forest! This means that with every S'wheat bottle purchased we will plant a tree in varying locations across the world! The very exciting part is that you can track all our trees planted to see how and where they are growing!
Click here to track our trees.

The past year has been an incredible beginning to the world's first reusable bottle made from plants and we can't wait for another exciting year ahead! We hope you will continue to support us in our mission to put an end to plastic pollution one S'wheat bottle at a time.

Congratulations on your 1st year! Still using my S’wheat bottle every day at work, so many people don’t believe me when I say it’s made from plants. Well done.
